Maine Department of Environmental Protection’s Nonpoint Source Training Center has released eight hour-long online training modules qualifying for credits for individuals certified in erosion control practices (aka “certified contractors”). Although the trainings are intended for use by certified individuals, they can be equally valuable to other interested parties such as municipal officials, code enforcement officers, consultants and inspectors. The program is no longer limited to just earthwork contractors. There is an updated process for the certification of inspectors under the program.
