Governor Ends Mask Mandate in Most Cases

Effective May 24, Mainers will no longer need to wear face coverings in most outdoor and indoor settings, according to the latest Executive Order from Gov. Janet Mills. Two exceptions are indoors at schools and day cares, due to the fact that as of now, children under the age of 12 are not eligible for COVID-19 vaccinations. Children younger than five years of age are not required to wear face coverings either.
