MAP/MCDA CONFERENCE
The Maine Association of Planners (MAP) and the Maine Community Development Association (MCDA) are planning a joint conference on June 9 at the Topsham Public Library. The conference will feature Jimmy Hicks, Executive Vice President of RKG Associates, who will talk about “Planning and Economic Development for Communities Under Stress.”

FLSA WORKSHOP
A workshop for public employers on the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be held on June 13 at the Augusta Civic Center. The workshop runs from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Larry Winger, attorney and author of the "Maine Employers Handbook” will instruct the workshop.

ROADS WORKSHOP
The Maine Local Roads Center, in cooperation with MMA, will be holding its “Claims, Pains and Automobiles” Workshop are various locations in May and June.
June dates and locations include: June 6 in Westbrook, June 7 in Auburn, June 13 in Belfast and June 14 in Machias.
This workshop covers the so-called “pothole law,” the Maine Tort Claims Act, Uniform Traffic Control Devices, and other road-related issues.
