The Town of Ashland is accepting applications for a full-time Town Manager.  Ashland is a town of 1200 + year-round residents with a municipal budget of $3.7 million.  The town is in Aroostook County next to the North Maine Woods.  The town has a Council, Town Manager, and Town Meeting form of government. 

Thorough knowledge of public administration, including personnel management, financial management and public sector management principals, policies, and practices, the ability to interpret municipal policies and procedures, Town ordinances and Federal State statutes are desired.  Also, the ability to plan, organize, supervise and inspect the work of professional, technical and support personnel and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with employees, town officials, the business community, the general public and County, State, and Federal officials is highly desired.
