The Town of Howland is seeking to fill the position of
Water & Wastewater Treatment Facility Manager
Individual will be responsible for practical, technical and administrative operation of Howland's water and waste water treatment facility. Employee of this class includes the daily safe, efficient and conforming operation of the water filtration and waste water treatment facilities, daily operation of the plant and call-out for emergencies. Work involves ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines reporting test results and budget administration. Employee will also be responsible for daily operations and emergencies to designated pump stations in West Enfield. This is a full-time, 40-hour position plus emergency call out. Minimum requirements of candidates are to possess a Grade I Biological Wastewater Treatment License, a Grade I Water Distribution License, a Grade I Water Treatment Operator License and experience in operation of a waste water treatment facility. Experience may be substituted for education with probationary requirements of obtaining the proper licenses. Pay commensurate with experience.
