The Town of Gorham is accepting applications for the regular full time (37.5 hours) position of Senior Library Assistant of Baxter Memorial Library’s Adult Services.
This position performs a variety of routine paraprofessional and clerical duties in a busy environment under the direction of the Public Services Librarian. The Senior Library Assistant establishes and solidifies patron relationships by providing excellent customer service to diverse patrons of all ages. Work is varied in nature and may involve irregular hours, including evenings and weekends. Please see the job description for more information.
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or BA/BS Degree, or an equivalent combination of training and experience preferred. Prior experience working directly with the public in a customer-oriented position required. Prior experience working in a public library preferred. Any equivalent combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.
