Treasurer Account Clerk

The City of Bath is seeking applicants for a Treasurer’s Account Clerk. This position reports to the Finance Director and is responsible for assisting and supporting the Deputy Tax Collector located in the City Treasurer’s Office. The successful candidate will provide superior customer service to the general public while performing duties such as processing tax collections, processing registrations for the Department of Motor Vehicle and Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and completing timely periodic reports. Duties will also include, but are not limited to, collection and posting of daily receipts, invoice processing and billing statements, forwarding late notices, balancing a daily cash drawer, as well as assists with processing sewer and tax liens. This position requires the applicant be extremely honest and capable of working with confidential information. In all areas, extreme accuracy and attention to detail is necessary. Work hours are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm with one hour for lunch.
