Per Diems - All Levels

The New Gloucester Fire and Rescue currently has openings for Per Diem Providers. New Gloucester is a fully volunteer department with 42 members providing Fire and Rescue services to the residents of New Gloucester. The department provides one ALS unit to the residents with an average of 400+ rescue calls per year. The per diems provide services Monday through Sunday.  Ideal candidates will be dependable with the ability to work independently without direct supervision. 

Job Requirements:  

  1. 18 years of age or older

  2. High school diploma or equivalent

  3. Valid driver license

  4. Current CPR Certification

  5. Licensed as an EMS Provider with the State of Maine EMS.

  6. BLS within 1 month of hire required

  7. 1 year or more experience with active organization preferred

  8. Working knowledge of medical terminology

  9. EVOC/ AVOC certification

  10. Experience with ALS ground transport unit preferred

  11. Pass a pre-placement physical and background check
