Freeport Community Library - part time Youth Services Circulation Clerk

Freeport Community Library, located in Freeport, Maine, is currently accepting applications for a part-time Circulation Clerk to work at the Youth Services circulation desk.

The successful candidate must have experience working with the public, especially children of all ages; exceptional customer service skills; the ability to work in an environment that can be energetic and lively; an outgoing personality; and computer and internet proficiency. Prior library experience is a plus. College degree or equivalent experience is desired.

The Youth Services Circulation Clerk performs a variety of circulation tasks related to the operation of the library under the supervision of the Youth Services Librarian and the Library Director. Typical duties include: staffing the circulation desk, shelving, pulling holds, providing Reader's Advisory, and assisting patrons locate library materials.

The vacancy is for a 12 hour/week position. The current hours for this position are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 10:00am – 2:00pm. The starting rate for this position is $13.00/hour.
