The Town of Bar Harbor seeks a qualified professional to plan, coordinate and review the activities of the Public Works Department which includes the divisions of highways, solid waste, parks, comfort stations and other public improvements. The Director also oversees the Wastewater and Water Divisions, which are self-funded enterprise funds. The budget of all departments exceeds $7 million and covers 28 full time employees. The candidate should possess strong communication skills, experience in labor relations, planning and construction management, equipment maintenance, budgeting, contracting and be a team player. Minimum requirements are a bachelor’s degree in the engineering field, 5 years supervisory experience and construction management. The town offers a competitive salary and benefit package.
