FORE SALE: Retired Fire Apparatus

The Town of Minot is selling a 1994 Central States Top Mount fire pumper. Mounted on International Navstar 4900 4X2 chassis, manufactured September 1994.  (Does not require DEF).

The apparatus was the front line pumper for the Minot Fire Department until May 2018.

In May 2018 the 1250 GPM Darley midship pump suffered a packing tunnel failure resulting in broken inner pump casing.   Pump is not currently operable.

Fire body was refurbished in 2010 and remounted to frame, no known rust issues.  Truck has a 1,000 gallon tank that did not have any identified leaks at the time truck was taken out of service. Body has 4 SCBA Tank tunnels, 4 side compartments with 2 smaller compartments on driver’s side.  Piped for two 1.75” crosslays with an additional empty bed for flat lay or longboard storage.  Large rear compartment (see photos)

Chassis has 32,595 actual miles and 2829 actual hours.  Vehicle was maintained per NFPA and manufacturer’s recommendations.  Transfer case was operable at time of pump failure.  Cab has 3 rear SCBA seats and standard driver and officer seats.   All plumbing and firefighting valves operational.  Rear suspension and brakes rebuilt in March 2018.  Other than issue with pump, apparatus was still fully operational.

If sold to a municipality, roof light and front emergency lights will not be removed.  If sold outside of the fire service, all red emergency warning, Town lettering, and ladder racks will be removed prior to sale.

Asking $7,500 or best reasonable offer.
