Update:  Due to the winter storm, the preliminary meeting and facility tours orginally scheduled for the 23rd have been postponed to Tuesday, February 28th at 9 am.

The Town of Pownal wishes to procure comprehensive needs assessment and cost estimate services for upgrading the existing Public Works and Fire/Rescue facilities in Pownal, Maine.  Statements of interest and qualifications packages are due by the close of business hours (Eastern Standard Time) on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.

The scope of services includes 1) performing a facility assessment/audit of the physical and mechanical conditions to identify deficiencies and space needs of the existing Fire/Rescue Stations and Public Works Facility which includes the salt storage shed , as well as site assessment; 2) Evaluating, assessing, and making recommendations on facility space needs that will address current deficiencies and needs and takes into consideration potential future expansion; and 3) Identify the building new, replacement, relocation, and/or renovation costs of each building, and make recommendations as to which (if any) buildings should be renovated, replaced, relocated, etc., as needed, and recommend alternative locations and/or facility combination as necessary.
