Overview & Schedule:

The Knox Regional Communications Center (KRCC) is currently looking for a Dispatch Supervisor. The Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for scheduling, organizing, directing and evaluating the activities of dispatchers, working as a dispatcher, dispatching patrol officers or other appropriate personnel as necessary, maintaining proper logs and records, providing recordings for officers and the DA’s office, and controlling public access to the Communications facility.
This is a 24/7 9-1-1 call center and requires availability for 10-hour shifts and day, evening, night, and weekend availability.


Qualifications:

HS Diploma or equivalent plus specialized training. Completion of the National Crime Information Center Terminal Operators course and maintain certification. Must be a licensed Emergency Medical Dispatcher and Terminal Operator (NCIC/METRO), ETC certified, CPR certified, ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, and 700, and maintain Guardian Certification. Applicants must have 3-4 years of experience as a dispatcher and the ability to supervise an office serving the public safety community with communications for law enforcement, fire, EMS, and EMA. Must have no criminal record and be willing to submit to both psychological and polygraph examinations.


Compensation:

The starting hourly pay range is $23.55 - $27.60, depending on related experience. The County provides an excellent benefits package to full-time employees, including health insurance fully paid for the employee and 75% paid for dependents, paid vacation and sick leave, retirement plan with a 7% County contribution, and other voluntary benefits.
