Who Should Attend:
Municipal leadership (Managers, Department Heads) who want to move beyond the technical skills of the job and learn about the soft skills necessary in today’s environment.
Local government leadership, regardless of the role, requires a different set of skills than private or non-profit leadership. The technical skills to manage a department or community is not enough to achieve success. This brand new workshop will provide attendees insight and valuable lessons to avoid being tackled. Led by a seasoned veteran City Manager who has served several communities throughout the state, he will share his insight - including the ones he learned the hard way – that will increase your (and your community’s) success.
This course applies to the Maine Town, City and County Management Association Certification Program as 5.0 credits in the Leadership category.
