REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL - Issued July 18, 2024
For a new 2024* Ford F150 Police Responder Pickup Truck (PPV) or similar police-rated pickup truck (of other make/model)
Deadline to submit proposals/bids is 1:00 p.m. on July 29, 2024.

The Rumford (Maine) Police Department is requesting formal proposals/bids for the purchase of one (1) new Ford F-150 Police Responder 4WD SuperCrew, preferably black exterior with 3.5L V6 EcoBoost, with keyed alike (62B) and remote keyless entry (67P) features. Additional features may be included at the bidder’s discretion. Alternatively, proposals/bids are requested for another police-rated new pickup truck with similar features. Proposals/bids should clearly indicate whether the proposed vehicle is “road ready” with covert-visor/glass police emergency lighting and siren configuration or wiring for such as the Town reserves the right to consider bids/proposals that include police 
emergency lighting/siren packages.

The bids should meet or exceed all specifications listed, but minor variations may be considered. Any such deviations from minimum specifications shall be clearly stated in writing with the bid offer.  Bids shall include a specifications sheet indicating vehicle equipment, warranty and gas mileage information, and available delivery date. Bidders may submit multiple bids – one for each differently configured vehicle/option they wish to offer. The bid award shall be based upon competitive bidding and the Town of Rumford reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and/or all bids, or waiver any technicalities or formalities of the bid process which may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Rumford.

*Bidders may submit an alternative bid for model year 2023 in substitution for model year 2024 provided the vehicle is new/not pre-owned. The Town reserves the right to weigh the pros and cons and compare features and potential savings that may be available with leftover inventory when reviewing all bids. Bidders with leftover inventory are encouraged to submit two bids (one for a 2024 model year and one alternative bid for a 2023 if available and so desired).

ALL BIDS MUST BE MAILED OR HAND-DELIVERED IN TIME FOR DELIVERY TO THE OFFICE OF THE TOWN MANAGER AT 
145 CONGRESS STREET, RUMFORD, MAINE 04276 NO LATER THAN 1:00 PM ON JULY 29, 2024. FAXED OR EMAILED 
BIDS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED. ALL BIDS MUST BE SEALED AND PLAINLY MARKED “POLICE CRUISER BID – DO NOT 
OPEN WITH REGULAR MAIL”
