TRADES WORKER III

Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department - Public Buildings Division

This position will work in conjunction with other trades professionals to perform duties such as floor plan layout for commercial space, drywall hanging/patch/repair, painting, rough carpentry including general construction and maintenance of City-owned buildings, piers and floats. This position will require heavy lifting and carrying of supplies needed for projects. The applicant must possess a willingness to assist and learn different operations of the Public Buildings Division and a dedication to getting the job done in an effective and efficient manner. 

Necessary Special Requirements:  Successful candidate must possess a valid Class B driver's license in good standing or have the ability to obtain a Class B license within 6 months; must undergo pre-employment fitness assessment, pass a federally mandated drug test; must be able to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) certification. This position requires mandatory participation in winter operations.  Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.  

Labor & Trades Union position - Grade 20M-TW - Pay range starting at $23.74/hour ($949.40/week).
