Responsibilities

Qualified candidates must be skilled in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrading hardware, software, personal computers and perform related work as required.

Requirements

Candidates must have education equivalent of completion of two (2) years of college-level coursework in computer science, information technology or a related field and two (2) years of general computer installation, maintenance, and repair experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.  A+ certification preferred.

Must have knowledge of computer hardware, software and peripherals, current technology related to City and School Department applications, and of procedures for installing, configuring, upgrading, troubleshooting, and repairing applicable software and hardware.  Candidates must have the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and the public and convey technical information in an understandable manner.

Pay Scale

This is a full-time, non-exempt, union position with a comprehensive benefits package which includes:

Health, Life, Vision, Dental, Vacation, Supplemental Life, Retirement. Sick leave, Family Medical Leave.

Pay range GG16: $25.67 to $32.77 per hour.
