The IT Engineer Supervisor will maintain existing systems, as well as research, recommend, and implement new technologies.  The IT Engineer will have primary responsibility for core network infrastructure, including Unifi switches, wi-fi access points, SonicWall firewalls, cloud-based Barracuda filter, and PRTG network monitoring.  The IT Engineer will also be responsible for Datto backup and Datta RMM (remote management).  The IT Engineer will be responsible for the virtualized Hypervisor environment, as well as physical servers across the city.  Incumbent will be deeply involved in the City’s long-term strategy to migrate as many applications and services to cloud based SaaS solutions, the consolidation of systems, and the reduction of the City’s servers and virtual machine footprint.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant technical certifications along with seven (7) years of relevant experience.  Five (5) years managing and maintaining networks, five (5) plus years managing Windows servers, Hypervisor, and virtualized machines and five (5) years plus experience working with cloud environments is preferred.
