AQUATICS SUPERVISOR
Parks, Recreation and Facilities Department
Full-time – flexible schedule that may include nights and weekends.
The Parks, Recreation & Facilities team is seeking an aquatics supervisor - This is an exciting opportunity to make a splash in your career!
The supervisor will perform professional recreation work at a supervisory level in the development and direction of a variety of aquatic activities at municipal aquatic facilities. This position involves on-going communication with the public, school staff, community groups and other recreation professionals in the creation, planning and adaptation of aquatic programs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or combination of aquatic training and experience.
- Must have experience organizing, leading and instructing specific aquatic programs.
- Experience working with infant, preschool, youth, teens and adult / senior-adult patrons; experience working with diverse populations.
- Experience supervising and managing subordinate staff.
- Google Workspace experience.
- MyRec experience desirable.
- Ability to keep data and prepare reports.
Specific Aquatic Certifications Required:
- American Red Cross LG, WSI, AED/CPR/PR, and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO)attach a copy of all certifications.
- Must obtain American Red Cross LG instructor and WSI instructor trainer within the first 6 months of hire.
- Must possess valid Maine Class C driver’s license.

Salary & Benefits:
Pro-Tech – Grade 7 pay range –$28.06/hr. ($54,717/year) - $35.56/hr. ($69,342/year), depending on certifications and experience.
