City of Portland - TREASURY CASHIER CLERK - Finance Department - Full Time (37.5 hrs.), Permanent Position

Join our dynamic Treasury Division as a Cashier Clerk and play a pivotal role in providing essential services to our community. In this role, you'll greet customers and handle a variety of financial transactions such as car and boat registration, parking tickets, and property tax collections in a fast-paced, people-oriented environment.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of account posting and cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
• Ability to work at a very high degree of accuracy keeping detailed records.
• Ability to meet and interact with the public in a helpful and courteous manner.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time doing data entry at counters.
• Experience working with diverse clients preferred.
• Preference will be given to candidates who are multi-lingual.

Salary & Benefits:

This is a union position, CEBA (Grade 13) - Salary range starting at $813.38/week ($21.69/hour).
