 RSU5 is seeking to hire a mechanic for 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, year-round. This position provides routine and preventative maintenance, performs inspections of the RSU5 transportation fleet and grounds. Maintains records of safety inspections, maintenance and repairs performed in accordance with all state and federal rules and regulations relating to student transportation. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical & drug screening. The successful applicant will be placed in a random drug & alcohol testing pool. This position includes options for benefits.

Requirements:

 Valid CHRC from Maine Dept. of Education.

 Maine School Bus Driver License (Class B with P & S endorsements) or ability to obtain within three months of employment.

 Vehicle Inspection license with A, B, & D endorsements or ability to obtain within three months of employment.

 Position remains open until suitable candidate is found.
