The Town of Livermore Falls is seeking a qualified and motivated candidate for the position of Mechanic/ Truck Driver in its Public Works Department. The position requires a skilled person for major and minor repairs on all vehicles and equipment of the Town of Livermore Falls, and driving/operating plow truck and other related equipment during snow and ice removal.

Employees of this class must be able to obtain their Maine state commercial inspection license within six months. Employee must have working knowledge of repair practices for commercial and automotive repairs, be willing to learn any and all safety requirements, and take personal responsibility for the safety of themselves, and co-workers. Extensive overtime in winter weather, or other emergencies is a requirement of this position.  All work is performed under the supervision and direction of the Public Works Foreman.

Interested applicants must be at least 18 years of age, a United States Citizen, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must possess a valid Class B State of Maine Motor vehicle operator’s License and be subject to all CDL Drug & Alcohol testing required by Federal Law.
