The Town of New Sweden currently has an opening for a Public Works /Truck Driver/Laborer with a very Competitive Wage. Pay will also be based on experience.

Public Works Truck Driver/Laborer

  • The Town of New Sweden Maine, is accepting applications or resumes for a full-time Truck Driver/Laborer. This position’s major responsibility will include operation of a two-axle dump/plow truck and job related laborer activities.
  • Experience with snow removal and a Class B CDL is preferred. Truck Driver/Laborers report to the Board of Selectman/also the Board of Road Commissioners and are responsible for performing road and grounds maintenance, snow plowing/salting/sanding, and related public works duties. Applicants must possess a valid commercial driver’s license and have experience in public works operations or a related field.
  • Applicants must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment physical. The Applicant will be enter in the random Drug Screen Program and must be able to pass the pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.
