Full-Time Shop Mechanic
City of Old Town – Public Works Department

The City of Old Town is currently accepting applications for a Full-Time Shop Mechanic in the Public Works Department. We are seeking a motivated and skilled professional with experience in equipment repair, ranging from small engines to heavy-duty, diesel-powered machinery. Welding and fabrication skills are highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset for this position.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in equipment maintenance and repair
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues
  • Welding and fabrication capabilities (preferred but not required)
  • A valid Maine Class B Driver’s License is required

This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our City’s Public Works and infrastructure. We encourage candidates who are detail-oriented and team-focused to apply.

Starting pay range is $24/hr  - $26.50/hr
