PROPOSAL REQUESTED

 

Te Town of Pownal is requesting statements of interest and qualifications to include cost estimates for the repair or replacement of the five roof dormers located on Mallett Hall  (keeping in mind the historical nature of the building), 429 Hallowell Road in Pownal.  Appointments to view and assess the project can be made by contacting Town Administrator, Becky Taylor-Chase.

SUMMARY

  1. Expectations:  Contracts will be awarded based on the information presented in the proposals received and decisions will be based on the proposal expected to be the most beneficial to our project.
  2. Assessment of Project:  Please contact Town Administrator to make an appointment to review/assess the project no later than February 27, 2025. 
  3. Proposal Deadline:  All proposals must be submitted to Becky Taylor-Chase by 3 pm, March 20, 2025 to be considered.
  4. Selection Criteria:  All offers submitted will be considered based upon the materials provided in the proposal.  Consideration will be given to performance projections as well as cost and staff requirements.  The following criteria will be the primary considerations for selecting a proposal.
    1. Submission of proposals should be received by stated deadline.
    2. The perceived effectiveness of the proposal’s solution for the repair or replacement of the five Mallett Hall roof dormers.
    3. The perceived ability for the proposing company’s ability to deliver their services set forth in their proposal.
    4. Availability of sufficient personnel with the required skills for the job.
    5. Past experience, expertise, references
    6. Overall cost of the project.

Ms. Taylor-Chase may suspend or discontinue proposals at any time without notice or obligation to the company that submitted the proposal.

PROPOSAL FORMAT

Please include the following information in your proposal: 

  1. Contractor Summary - A brief history of your company including past experience in dealing with similar projects.
  2. Capabilities and Methodology - Explain the proposed method of achieving your goal including a timeline for completing the project.
  3. Expected Results - Summarize the expected results of your methodology with your timeline as listed above
  4. Communication - Explain how you will communicate with the Town Administrator to ensure the project stays on schedule.
  5. Equipment - Detail equipment needed with estimated costs.  If you will need additional services, list and explain here.
  6. Expense Breakdown and Summary – Provide a summary of all expected expenses.
  7. Licensing - If applicable, include any details of your licenses for the services you are proposing.
  8. Insurance – Provide your proof of insurance to include liability and Workmen’s Comp.
  9. References - Provide at least 3 references for similar past projects and/or provide pictures of previous work/projects.
