Dearborn Park Reconstruction
Request for Proposals

The City of Gardiner is currently seeking proposals to complete site and landscape improvements for the reconstruction of Dearborn Park, an approximately 60’ x 75’ public park, located between 266 and 280 Water Street in the downtown district.

The contract includes all site work associated with the reconstruction of the park. Some of the demolition within the existing park will be done by the City’s Public Works Department. The new site work will include structural fill, grading, six (6) concrete block retaining walls, wood and composite stairs, site lighting, concrete paver plazas, landscaping and all other works specified in the contract documents.

The work is financed in part with Community Development Block Grant funds. Contractors should be aware that they must comply with various federal regulations including Davis-Bacon Labor standards and the environmental regulations. It is the Contractors responsibility to know and understand these standards.

Sealed bids for the project will be received at City Hall, 6 Church St., Gardiner, ME 04345 until 12:00 p.m. on April 14, 2025. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Thereafter, bids will be opened in public and read aloud. A pre-bid meeting will be held, March 27, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the site.
