Request for Proposals Porter Road- Newton Brook Stream Crossing Engineering Issued: March 24, 2025

The Town of Dixfield is soliciting proposals for design engineering services for a roadway stream crossing project for the Porter Road in Dixfield, Maine.

At this time the funding source is undetermined though the Town intends to file grant applications including BRIC and Maine Stream Crossing.

The Town would like:

-Preliminary design and construction cost estimate; including estimated pricing for contract administration and construction monitoring. Should include hourly rate table

-Final designs for the stream crossing

The Highway Bridge Inspection Report is available upon request. (Bridge Report Structure #3386) Additionally, there is information on the Newton Brook Stream Crossing (site #23220) on the Maine Stream Habitat Viewer.

All proposals are due by Friday, April 11, 2025 at 12pm. The bid opening meeting will be held on April 11 at 2pm. The successful firm will be chosen at the Select Board meeting on Monday, April 14, 2025.

The Town of Dixfield reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to accept any proposal that it may deem to be in the best interest of the Town. Award of contract, or any part of the contract is dependent upon availability of funds

The Town reserves the right to negotiate directly with the firm selected for additional project work including construction administration services, and/or additional project engineering and design services.
