Metal Roofing Installation for North Haven Medical Clinic
- INTRODUCTION
The Town of North Haven is soliciting proposals from qualified roofing contractors for the installation of a metal roof on the North Haven Medical Clinic Building. The purpose of the RFP is to select a contractor to provide high-quality, durable, and long-lasting metal roofing that meets the specifications outlined in this document.
- PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project consists of the removal of the existing roof and installation of a new metal roof on the North Haven Medical Clinic. The roof area is approximately 1600 sq ft of asphalt and 500 sq ft of rubber membrane, and the desired materials are standing seam metal roofing with appropriate insulation and weather proofing.
- SCOPE OF WORK
The contractor will be responsible for:
- Removal of existing roofing material.
- Disposal of all materials in an onsite container and removal of container.
- Preparation of the roof surface for metal roof installation
- Supply and installation of aluminum standing seam metal roof panels.
- Installation of appropriate underlayment and insulation as required.
- Flashing, trim, and sealing to ensure the roof is watertight.
- Compliance with all relevant building codes and safety regulations.
- Clean-up of the site upon completion.

- PROJECT TIMELINE
The project is expected to start April 7, 2025, and be completed by April 18. (this timeframe allows for weather event days).
- PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS
Interested Contractors must submit the following:
- A detailed breakdown of project cost.
- A proposed project timeline.
- Proof of Insurance.
- Warranty details for materials and workmanship.
- Experience with similar projects

All questions related to this RFP must be submitted via email by January 31, 2025, to the Town Administrator, [email protected]. Responses will be provided to all bidders.
- CONTRACT AWARD
The Board of Selectmen will vote to select a contractor on February 19, 2025, and will inform the selected contractor by February 20, 2025.
