The Town of Wilton is soliciting bids for a used road grader equivalent to a 2009 John Deere 772D in road worthy condition with a new state inspection sticker and under 8,500 hours on the machine with standard equipment. Attached to this letter is a specification bid submission sheet outlining the various equipment and options to be included in your bid.  On the bid submission sheet, please specify any item you are including which is equivalent to the one which is listed by recording the appropriate model number or description on the line provided (or on an additional sheet if needed.) If any specified item is not available, write N /A next to that item.  

If you are interested in submitting a bid, you should complete and return the enclosed sheet along with the requested additional material.

Further information or observation of the 1985 John Deere 772B road grader trade-in in as is condition minus the front blade may be obtained by calling John Masse at the Public Works Garage.  (207) 645-4883.

The Town of Wilton reserves the right to refuse and reject any and all bids and waive any or all formalities or technicalities or to accept the bid determined to be the most advantageous to the Town. Your bid and supporting information should be submitted in a sealed envelope marked 2025 Grader Bid and must be received at the Town Office no later than 2:00 pm. and open on Tuesday April 1, 2025.  Bids will be reviewed by the Town Manager, Select Board and Public Works supervisor at their regular meeting on TUESDAY April 1, 2025, at 6:00 pm. The Town of Wilton reserves the right to hold the proposals for a period of 14 days from the submission date without taking any action thereon to allow for inspection/testing of proposed equipment prior to making a final decision on proposal acceptance.
