The Town of Wilton is soliciting bids for a new or gently used 1 -ton or ¾ ton cab and chassis with attached service body. Attached to this letter is a specification bid submission sheet outlining the various equipment and options to be included in your bids. On the bid submission sheet, please specify any item you are including which is equivalent to the one which is listed, by recording the appropriate model number or description on the line provided (or on an additional sheet if needed.) If any specified item is not available, write N /A next to that item. Also include with your bid appropriate informational brochures for the equipment you are bidding.
If you are interested in submitting a bid, you should complete and return the enclosed sheet along with the requested additional material.

The Town of Wilton reserves the right to refuse and reject any and all bids, and waive any or all formalities or technicalities or to accept the bid determined to be the most advantageous to the Town. Your bid and supporting information should be submitted in a sealed envelope marked WASW TRUCK Bid and must be received at the Town Office (158 Weld Road, Wilton, ME 04294) no later than 12:00 PM.on November 26, 2024. Bids will be opened at 12:00 PM on November 26, 2024. Bids will be reviewed by the Town Manager and Board of Selectmen at their regular meeting on TUESDAY, December 3, 2024 at 6:00 PM. The Town of Wilton reserves the right to hold the proposals for a period of 7 days from the submission date without taking any action thereon to allow for inspection/testing of proposed equipment prior to making a final decision on proposal acceptance.
Final award of bid is contingent upon Selectboard decision.

I hereby certify that the equipment I have bid can be delivered no later than specified. There shall be a $100.00 per day penalty for each day the truck is late after the accepted delivery date. This penalty fee shall be deducted from the net bid when the truck is delivered.
I also certify that this bid has been arrived at independently without consultation, communication, or agreement as to any matter relating to the bid with any other bidder or competitor.
