The Town of Kennebunk’s Fire Rescue Department is seeking Call Firefighters/EMS Providers. These call positions report directly to the Shift Captain/other Department members as directed. These are skilled call firefighting and/or emergency medical positions. The employee in this position responds to a wide range of fire suppression, medical, and traumatic emergencies in a community of 44 square miles with a year round population of 12,000 that increases significantly in summer months. Due to the geography of the community, the position must be prepared for emergencies on/in the ocean, highways, residential neighborhoods, industrial areas, railways, agricultural settings, and senior residential facilities

Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State licensed EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic (if practicing as an EMS provider)
- Firefighter I & II certification
- National Incident Management IS 100, 200, and 700
- AVOC/EVOC or equivalent
- Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license with no serious infractions
- Must pass a physical agility test as determined by the Fire Chief or their designee
Position Pay
This is an hourly, non-exempt, non-union position with a starting pay of $21.53 for a Firefighter 1 and $24.28 for a Firefighter/EMT. There is potential for a higher rate based on work experience, certifications, EMS license level and education level.
