The City of South Portland is currently seeking a Parks Laborer to join the Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Team. This position is a full time, year-round, benefits-eligible, union position with a rich benefits package.

Position Summary: The Parks Laborer performs a variety of maintenance and construction tasks in the repair and  maintenance of parks, athletic fields, recreational facilities and various City buildings and grounds. The Laborer is also required to participate in emergency work including,  including but not limited to snow storms, ice storms, and hurricanes. Work involves seasonal operation variations, year round. 

Education and Experience: Must possess a high school diploma or GED and two (2) years of prior work experience in the parks, sports fields, ground maintenance or construction trades. Must possess a valid Maine Class “C” driver’s license.
