City of Auburn-Facilities Maintenance Technician

The City of Auburn is seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician to be shared between City Facilities and the Auburn Public Library.  The duties include building and ground maintenance such as shoveling snow and sanding steps and walkways, mowing and landscaping, general cleaning of offices, bathrooms and community rooms, setting up community rooms for meetings, purchasing and/or ordering cleaning and maintenance supplies, doing security checks on the buildings, minor maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment, assisting with community events and other duties as required. This position will require mandatory overtime.

The work schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, the exact schedule has yet to be determined.  Must be available for occasional night and weekend coverage for events.   The successful candidate must enjoy working with people, be flexible, customer service oriented, and be able to do heavy physical labor in all weather conditions.  The salary is based upon experience. The city offers a competitive fringe benefit package.
