The Town of Gray is seeking two full-time Firefighter/EMTs, EMT-As, or Paramedics. These positions perform skilled firefighting and emergency medical services (EMS) duties, including the operation and maintenance of department equipment, apparatus, and stations. Employees in these roles are responsible for a variety of Fire/EMS-related activities, including but not limited to responding to emergency calls, operating emergency apparatus and equipment, maintaining personal protective equipment (PPE), and participating in training activities as required.

A successful candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, valid State of Maine driver’s license, current CPR certification, EVOC certification (or obtain within six months of hire), and relevant EMT/Paramedic license. A Maine Firefighter I/II is preferred but can be obtained after joining the department.

The pay range for the FF/EMT position is $22.78-$28.32 hourly, the pay range for the FF/AEMT position is $24.36-$30.29 hourly, and the pay range for the FF/Paramedic position is  $26.97-$33.53 hourly. The schedule for these positions regularly includes rotating 24-hour shifts, which includes weekends and holidays. These full-time positions are eligible for full benefits including health insurance, life insurance, Maine State Retirement, and more.
