The Town of Cumberland is currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Fleet Mechanic within our Public Works Department.  This is a full-time, benefit eligible position, and is responsible for repairing equipment for the Public Works, Parks, Police and Fire Departments. 

Candidates should have previous experience working on heavy equipment, gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, plow equipment, and vehicle electronics.  Welding experience preferred but not required.  Must supply own tools and toolbox and must have a working knowledge in the use of scan tools for heavy duty trucks and automobiles.  Candidates must possess a Maine CDL Class B License or the ability to obtain within 6 months. The Town of Cumberland offers an excellent benefit package and tool allowance.  Salary is negotiable based on experience. The range is $29.00 to $33.00 per hour.
