If hired, you’ll receive training at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy, where you’ll gain the skills and confidence needed to thrive in your new role.  All applicants must be a high school graduate or hold a GED and be at least 21 years old at the time of hire.  Possession of a Maine Criminal Justice Academy full-time police officer certification or full-time police officer certification from another state that will be accepted by the MCJA is preferred but not required.  Any out of state certification will need the MCJA alert certificate.  Sanford offers numerous growth opportunities, specialized assignments, and career development paths to help you advance within our department.
