We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an experienced Reserve Certified Public Safety Dispatcher for the Sanford Regional Communications Center for the City of Sanford.

As a Reserve Certified Public Safety Dispatcher, you’ll be a vital link in our public safety network, ensuring that emergency responders have the information they need to protect our community. This rewarding role offers the chance to contribute directly to the well-being of Sanford and the surrounding communities.
You’ll be the first voice of reassurance during emergencies, guiding callers and relaying critical detail to law enforcement, fire, and rescue teams. Using sophisticated radio and telecommunication equipment, you will be responsible for receiving and transmitting routine and emergency requests, monitoring public safety frequencies, and retrieving information for supporting accurate dispatching.
Applicants must be currently E-911 and EMD as well as EFD certified. Working knowledge of IMC is also desired. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Selected candidates will have to pass a multiple-step screening process including, but not limited to, a background check with the City of Sanford.
The Reserve Certified Public Safety Dispatcher’s current hourly pay is $40.00/hour. This part time position is filling available shifts within the SRCC up to a maximum of 25 hours a week.
