Part-time Seasonal Grounds Maintenance-Recreation Department

The Town of Thomaston Recreation Department seeks part-time (15-25 hours per week) seasonal grounds maintenance to assist in general sports field care.

Staff performs regular and directed grounds and landscape maintenance by mowing fields with riding or push mowers; trimming and edging around trees, shrubs, ground cover, and buildings; sports field setup and maintenance; utilizing proper hand or power tools and equipment. May require some minor repair work that includes carpentry and painting of outbuildings and related structures.

The successful candidate must possess the following:

· Knowledge of sports field maintenance preferred.

· Possess a valid Driver’s License.

· Successfully complete a background check.
