The Town of Kennebunkport is accepting applications for the Administrative Assistant position for its Public Works Department. If you like helping people and take pride in assisting a local community the Town of Kennebunkport needs you! We are searching for a self-motivated, organized individual to assist with the department’s day-to-day activities.

This part-time position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Public Works Department by answering the phone and responding to emails, greeting visitors, purchasing supplies, assisting with the preparation of bids, updating the website, and more. Candidates should have an understanding of administrative and operational procedures and have the ability to learn quickly. Also, applicants must be detail-oriented, highly organized, enjoy working with the public, have an outgoing, positive attitude, be a team player, and work well under pressure in a very busy office environment. The preferred candidate will hold an Associate’s degree or two-year college certificate with 1 to 3 years of work experience.

This position is between 25-32 hours per week, with a flexible schedule depending on personal and departmental needs. The pay starts at $28.48 per hour. Benefits include MePERS retirement contributions and prorated vacation and sick time.
