Airport Facilities Technician

Airport Facilities Technician - HVAC - Aviation & Transportation
This is a 40 hour schedule, Monday-Friday, 7am - 3:30pm

The Portland International Jetport is seeking a highly motivated individual for the Engineering and Facilities Department. Under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor, this position involves technical work in the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems and equipment throughout the terminal and parking garage.

Requirements:

• Must possess a valid State of Maine Master Oil Burner and/or Solid Fuel Technician license, as well as a Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) universal refrigeration certificate.
• Considerable knowledge of best practices, materials, tools and equipment of the HVAC trade.
• Skill in locating and correcting defects in many different types of mechanical systems.
• Ability to pass all required background investigations and maintain a valid Class C Maine Driver’s License.

Training & Experience Desired:

• Prior HVAC experience in a large facility.
• We are open to considering applicants who have recently graduated from an HVAC program who have the required Masters license as noted above.

Salary & Benefits:

This is a union position, Labor and Trades (Grade 19MA) - Salary range: $30.62 to $35.54/hr.
