Schedule: Full-time 37.5 hours per week position, Monday-Friday, day shift only.
Are you an experienced and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant with a passion for helping older adults? Do you have at least two years of experience in long-term care settings or community setting? If so, we want YOU to be a part of our dedicated team! We are seeking a caring and motivated CNA to provide exceptional care and support to our residents. As a valued member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults, while working in a warm and supportive environment.
The City of Portland Adult Day Services Program is designed to: Offer supportive, daytime care that enables individuals living alone or with family to remain at home; help individual clients rediscover and expand their abilities, friendships, and interests; provide a specialized program for clients with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia; and provide much-needed respite for caregivers. Some services may include, a light breakfast and hardy noon meal, health and medication monitoring by a Registered Nurse (RN), therapeutic activities such as music, art, exercise, and much more.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Must possess a valid State of Maine CNA Certificate and have completed an approved CNA training program.
• Must have ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to deal tactfully with coworkers, residents, family members, visitors, physicians and the general public.
• Must possess a Maine Class C driver’s license and have access to a vehicle for work use.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
• At least two years experience working with older adults in a long term care or community setting to join our adult day program team strongly preferred.
• Experience in dementia care. A background in recreational therapy or activity coordination

Salary & Benefits:
This is a union position, CEBA (Grade 5M) $21.42 - $25.58/hr.
