Portland Recreation is seeking a Community Center site staff to join our Recreation programs, which offers exciting and enriching activities for all levels! Whether it's helping run a youth clinic, working the scoreboard for refereeing basketball, overseeing a Community Center Site for rentals or drop in programs, we have plenty of opportunities.

Hours/Available Schedules:
• Expected start date for this position will be October 1, 2024 as many of our programs begin when outdoor activities wrap up.
• Hours of work vary based on the duration of program. Many programs run during the week in the evening, or weekends.
• Ability to commit to a schedule, or be available for as many hours as your schedule allows.
• Flexibility to work as little or as many days as you are available.
Requirements:
• Good customer service skills and ability to work with a diverse population.
• Ability to maintain order and enforce rules and regulations and to impart enthusiasm in a positive and productive atmosphere.
• Knowledge of a variety of recreational activities including games, sports, arts, crafts and group activities.
• Ability to indirectly support such activities and staff overseeing them.
• Initiative and willingness to learn a variety of additional recreational activities.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, program participants, school staff, and the general public.
• American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Certification or the ability to obtain within the first six months of appointment date. We are happy to train you for this so you can gain additional skills.

Salary/Pay:
$18.00/hour
