City of Portland - Custodial Worker (Full Time)

CUSTODIAL WORKER – Full Time, 40 hours (2nd shift, 2:00pm-10:00pm)

James A Banks Sr Exposition Building Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department

This position is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the facility. This position is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the facility. In addition, this role will be responsible for event set up and clean up, routing exterior maintenance including snow removal, and other routine facility maintenance as necessary.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects over an extended period of time.
• Working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Physical strength and agility necessary to perform the essential functions of the work.
• Prior customer service experience desired.

Necessary Special Requirements:

• Must be able to work evenings/second shift.
• Successful candidates must possess a valid Class C driver’s license and have a clean driving record.

Salary & Benefits:

This is a union position, Labor & Trades (Grade 11) - Salary range: $790.40/wk up to $845.60/wk based on experience
