Forestry Seasonal Groundskeepers – Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department 

May through November, full-time schedule (40 hours/week) - Possibly open to part-time schedule depending on the candidate

The City of Portland is seeking a seasonal groundskeeper to join our team! In this role, you'll assist Forestry crews with tree and landscape maintenance to ensure our community remains vibrant and welcoming for all to enjoy. If you have a love for hands-on, outdoor work, we invite you to apply!
 

Duties & Requirements:

• Tree planting, watering, pruning, mulching and landscape maintenance.
• Prior tree or landscape experience and/or education desired.
• Responsibility, maturity, dedication and the ability to work in varied weather conditions are a must.
• A valid Maine Class C driver’s license is, and a Department of Motor Vehicle check will be conducted on those who have one.

Salary & Benefits:

• Forestry maintenance positions start at $18.00/hour.
