Airport IT Systems Technician

Sign on bonus of $1,500 and Relocation available to external candidates

The Portland International Jetport is seeking an IT Systems Technician to join its growing IT Department. This is skilled work of considerable difficulty in the configuration, installation, maintenance, and repair of network components, computer systems, and information technology spaces that support the Airport IT systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the deployment of network devices, workstations, and servers.

• Conducts closet mapping and auditing.

• Provides ongoing maintenance for Airport IT systems.

• Records all work being done in the designated ticketing system.

• Set up and configure client workstations, monitors, printers, and other IT-related systems.

• Participate in an after-hours coverage/on-call schedule.

• Provides Tier-1 support to Airport IT systems.

Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree or three plus years of working in Tier-1 (or higher) support, service tech, server administrator, or equivalent IT knowledge.

• Experience with network diagramming.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, direct reports, City staff, contractors, vendors and members of the general public.

• Working knowledge of Google productivity tools and/or MS Office.

• Successful completion of TSA Criminal Background Check in accordance with TSR Part 1542 to acquire and maintain an airport security badge.

• Must have a valid State of Maine Class C driver’s license and have and maintain a good driving record.

Scheduled Hours

The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday, 7 am to 3:30 pm (37.5 hours per week).

Salary & Benefits:

This is a union position, ProTech (Grade 8), non-exempt - Salary range starting at $1192.13/wk. ($31.79/hr.)
