HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES - SOCIAL SERVICES DIVISION
Shelter Attendant needed at the City’s Family Shelter.
This is a permanent Full time position (37.5hours) with a schedule of Wednesday-Sunday 8:00am-4:30pm.
The City of Portland's Social Services Division is seeking candidates to work at our family shelter.
Duties include:
• Monitoring residents sleeping areas.
• Conducting buildings safety checks.
• Completing shelter intakes.
• Shift reports and client census data.
• Providing after hours general assistance and other duties as required.
Requirements:
• Graduation from high school with experience in crisis intervention, mental illness, and substance abuse; or any combination of experience and training.
• Preference for experience working with homeless population or experience working in a homeless shelter.

Salary & Benefits:
This is a union position, CEBA (Grade 9) - Starting at $19.54/hr.
