The Presque Isle Police Department has immediate openings for the position of full-time Patrol Sergeant. The Presque Isle Police Department is seeking qualified, motivated, and community-oriented individuals for the position of Patrol Sergeant to lead our agency of 20 sworn officers. Work with a group of three toher sergeants to lead our four squads of officers. Position will be on night shift to start out with posibility of changes in the future. 

· Competitive Wages! Starting pay  $34.45 per hour with step increases and COLA.

High School diploma or equivalent required. Individuals with honorable military experience, an Associate’s Degree or greater are encouraged to apply. Certified Maine Criminal Justice Academy graduates with current police certification as well as out of state certified officers who have been in law enforcemnt for a minimum of 5 years are eligible to apply. Candidates will be required to successfully pass a background check, oral board and Sergeant's examination.
