The Town of Belgrade seeks to fill a full time Deputy Clerk position. Preferred applicants shall be proficient in a wide variety of duties including, but not limited to elections, motor vehicle registrations, inland fisheries transactions, collection of taxes and payments/fees, records/file management, general clerical skills, and possess excellent customer service skills. Working knowledge of TRIO is desired.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, eager to learn, resourceful and able to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment, possess the ability to understand and apply state and local laws and work under limited supervision. Knowledge or experience working in local government and a municipal clerk’s office is ideal. The successful candidate must have a genuine interest in serving the residents of Belgrade and be ready to serve as the first point of contact in the Town Office.
Qualified applicants must have excellent computer, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills. Applicants must have the ability to quickly learn specialized software programs and office procedures, have strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
