The Town of Sebago has an opening for a full-time, 36 hour a week Monday - Thursday Deputy Clerk / Deputy Tax Collector/Administrative Assistant. The primary function of the Deputy Clerk will be to process fish and game licenses, automobile registrations, vital records, collect Reals Estate and Personal Property Tax, and assist with elections. Administrative duties will include, but not limited to assisting the Town Manager and the Town Clerk, posting and maintaining the Town’s website and Facebook page, posting meeting videos, and other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with residents, tax payers, staff, and town officials. Knowledge of modern office equipment and procedures, strong computer and customer service skills. This position requires the ability to balance multiple tasks, display initiative, sound judgement, as well as the ability to work independently, with the public, and other town officials. Strong preference will be given to applicants with municipal, BMV, and TRIO software experience.
Starting pay is determined based on demonstrated knowledge, skills, abilities, and work experience. The Town of Sebago offers an excellent benefit package.
