Pay: $21 - $25 per hour, depending on experience
The Town of Bucksport is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Deputy Town Clerk to join our team. This position is essential to the smooth operation of the Town Office, handling a variety of administrative duties and interacting with the public daily. Key Responsibilities:

Process payments and maintain records for property and excise taxes
-
Assist residents with motor vehicle registrations, licenses, and permits

Issue marriage, hunting, fishing, and dog licenses while ensuring accurate record-keeping

Issue vital records
-
Support election duties, including voter registration and absentee ballot processing

Provide administrative support to various Department Heads as needed

Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Experience in clerical work, record-keeping, or customer service preferred

Proficiency in office software and strong attention to detail

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Familiarity with municipal operations and state regulations (or willingness to learn)
